Sharing a few little moments from my time recording in Springbrook with Michael at Moko Productions.
I picked up my surprise hire car for the week a Kia Carnival š
Pretty sure they saw āmum of fourā on my booking and gave maximum cup holders. sliding doors and space.
Even though for once⦠I wasnāt travelling with children.
I spent the week tucked away in the beautiful mountains of Springbrook, recording in Mokoās small forest studio. The place honestly felt magical⦠although the Kia Carnival and the goat-track roads of Springbrook were not the greatest companion.Ā
It took me forever to find my cabin and on the very first night and gale-force winds rolled in, which really added to the āwoman alone in the forest making an emotional EPā experience.
But somewhere between the misty mountains, winding roads, quiet cabin mornings and long days in the studio, these songs slowly became something real.
I had Padymelon's turning up at my front door looking for snacks, breathtaking lookouts around every corner, and the kind of deep uninterrupted sleep that feels almost fictional as a mum of four.
A few little memories from making my first EP, Ember š¤
